If you want a color that isn’t so dark but still doesn’t call a lot of attention to itself, and that doesn’t show scuffs and scrapes as much, then get the silver and white iPhone 8 is for you. How to sell your old iPhone
White. I am going to be straight up honest here. If there’s one color variant of the iPhone XR you should not buy, it is the white one. This is because as mentioned above irrespective of which color iPhone XR you buy, the front of the device will have a black front panel.
Color is one of the most visually distinctive and personal things about a new iPhone, which makes it one of the most important choices you’ll have to make. The original iPhone only came in aluminum and black, but now Apple offers iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold, (matte) black, jet black, or (Product) RED.
Your iPhone has changed to black and white because “Grayscale”, an accessibility setting that was introduced in iOS 8, has accidentally been turned on. Grayscale mode makes it easier for people with color-blindness and difficulty seeing to use the iPhone.

I’m using an iPhone 5s running on iOS 8.1.3. Just yesterday and for no apparent reason my screen went black/white. I tried all the suggestions in this thread-short of going to a Genius Bar or backup/restore- to no avail. By fumbling around I lucked into a solution. For whatever reason- I’m assuming a bug- toggling the “zoom” option changes the screen from b/w to color (Zoom on=b/w; Zoom off=color). Interestingly, turning on/off the Zoom in settings>general>accessibility>Zoom (under the “vision” heading) does the same thing.Best answer · I think you have accidentaly turned on the “Grayscale”.
